If your oven is receiving power but not heating up, the problem may be with the heating element.

Oven elements are not consumable parts and only need replacing if they fail. They fail when the internal filament burns out, which can cause the element to short circuit. You may see visible signs of damage such as splits, bulges, or blow holes on the element.

Common Causes of Element Failure:

-Expansion and contraction of the element coils due to repeated heating and cooling cycles (a very common cause)
-Overheating caused by a faulty thermostat
-Grease build-up that causes the fan motor to run slowly, affecting the element
