Ensure your cooker or oven heats up properly by replacing the fan oven element if it is no longer functioning correctly.

The fan oven element is responsible for heating the oven cavity to cook your food evenly. In an electric cooker, when switched on, electricity flows to the element causing it to heat up. Once the element reaches the desired temperature, the electricity flow switches on and off to maintain the set temperature. This process is controlled by the thermostat.

Signs of a Faulty Oven Element:

-The oven does not heat up
-The oven blows out cold air
-Bright spots appear during use
-Visible damage such as splits, bulges, or blow holes on the element

Causes of Element Failure:

Several factors can cause an oven element to fail. A common cause is damage due to the expansion and contraction of the element coils caused by the element heating up and cooling down repeatedly. Other causes can include overheating due to a failed thermostat or grease build-up that causes the fan motor to run slowly, affecting the element's performance.
