Replacing a motor on a washing machine might sound scary, but it's a surprisingly easy to replace. We are working on a Bosch but this video is good for Bosch, Neff, Siemens or Balay washing machines.
To order your washing machine motor you will need your full model number (This is normally around the washing machine door frame on a sticker) and also your motor Type, written on the motor Label.

1. Remove the lid and the back panel.
2. You need to remove the washing machine belt that is attached to the motor and drum pulley.
3. You will now need to remove the bolts that attach the motor to the washing machine drum.
4. Remove the wiring plug and earth wire.
5. Using a flat blade screwdriver ease the motor of the drum brackets or lugs.
6. Now that the motor is off you will be able to check the motor to see if the motor brushes are worn if not you might have a more serious problem and might need to get the motor checked or the PCB might have failed (printed circuit board)
