Hey,I've been trying to fix my Zanussi Z716WT83BI washer/dryer that recently stopped drying properly.When I put it into the drying cycle, the machine starts, the dryer fan starts but the cycle is shortened to 11 minutes and eventually stops. The machine never warms up.I've had a closer look at the drying circuit and I've measured the following:- the thermostats both have continuity.- the heating element (measured on the side) has continuity.- when the cycle starts, there are 230V in the heating element.- the NTC probe is working correctly (resistance varies with temperature)- as mentioned, the fan is working correctly and spinning as it should.For good measure, I've replaced the thermostats, but to no avail.I've had a look at a similar thread you answered, https://www.how-to-repair.com/faqs/zanussi-z716wt83bi-washer-dryer-skips-to-end-of-the-drying-cycle/ but couldn't make any further progress.I've been trying to get into the machine's diagnostic mode to figure out if there any alarms activate (according to the service manual) but I can't find clear instructions on how to do it.I'm considering calling an engineer out but I'd really appreciate learning how to diagnose it and maybe even fixing it myself.

Hi, sorry to hear about the problem with your Zanussi Z716WT83BL. If the washer dryer is not drying and the cycle jumps down to 11 minutes, it likely has an error stored. You provided the full model number but not the PNC number. I found the exact workshop manuals for your machine, including the wiring diagram.

There are five variations of this machine. One manual shows how to enter diagnostic mode, and another lists all error codes and test procedures. The wiring diagram shows thermal fuses, the NTC sensor, and the heating system.

You might have a problem with the heating circuit or possibly a faulty relay on the circuit board, which stops power from reaching the element. It's usually a higher ampage relay, but without detailed pictures of your circuit board, I can't specify which one it is.
