Solar Powered Beach House, Faro, Portugal
Paul Says:
We were approached by our customer who has a small house on the beach in Faro, Portugal. He had concerns that his electricity bill was on the incline and also a little worried about power cuts. After surveying his property and making some calculations we decided that a Victron EasySolar 24/3000 would be the best solution for his problem. We installed a secondary BlueSolar Charge Controller as we needed to put more solar panels than the EasySolar can handle out of the box. So we added a BlueSolar 150/60 in addition to the BlueSolar 150/70 which comes integrated with the EasySolar. We programmed the system to run Victron ESS Software and was connected in line with the grid.
SYSTEM PERFORMANCESince the installation of the system, our customer has seen his energy usage from the mains supply go from 100% Usage to 19% Usage. The graph below shows all the the details of energy consumption.
