Samsung WW80J6403EW EcoBubble Washing Machine Pinging/Snapping Sound on Belt/Wheel
During the last wash our machine started making a loud popping/snapping sound and I haven't found out how to fix it yet. Do you know what it might be?Washing machine: Samsung Ecobubble WW80J6403EWInformation:-It only makes the sound when the belt is on and it spins -I've replaced the belt, didn't fix it-I removed the heating element and cleaned behind it. The sound also occurs when the heating element isn't in place (but belt is on)-I checked the filter and cleaned itI've uploaded a short video of it here:

Hi, happy to help! Seeing the machine really does make a difference when trying to solve problems. It seems like the pulley wheel might have a small crack in the plastic or a rough spot on the grooves where the belt runs. Take a close look at the pulley wheel and check if the belt is too tight.
If it's not an adjustable motor, it's likely a standard length belt. But this issue seems related to the pulley wheel. You can remove the nut from the pulley wheel and take it off to inspect it properly. When we fitting the bolt, make sure you use Loctite as this is what stops the bolt coming off

I hope this helps get your machine working again. You should be able to find a second-hand pulley wheel for this machine easily on sites like eBay, without spending too much money on a new one.
