Peter Kedden asks:

Hi there.I followed your YT channel for several occasions and impressed by advice given. On my Samsung WD80J6A10AX/EU washer dryer ( 5 years old) initially the dryer program fault and stopped to operate - around 2 years ago. Then,2 weeks ago any program froze and did not complete the washing so I replaced the PCB motherboard - run all tests and the machine start to work correctly. After couple days and few wash&dry programs just today morning the machine froze again during the drying process. It does spin the drum but the timer does not count down. It was happened couple times , in different time settings - first 90min program stopped after 20min , the second 60min and stopped after 18min. Any chance to get any advice for this occasion and problem?Help will be much appreciated, regardsPeter

I will try and help with this problem about Samsung WD80J6A10AX/EU Washer Dryer,

Hi Peter, sorry to hear about the problem with your Sampson washing machine WD80J6A10AX. It's hard for me to diagnose this kind of issue via email without seeing the machine. I can only guide you on what to check.

It sounds like a drying sensor might be turning off the program. This could be because it is overheating or not detecting the moisture level in the clothes. Here are a few things to look at:

1. At the top of the machine, you have the fan motor and heating system. This area can get clogged with fluff. You should take it apart, inspect it, and make sure it is clean.

2. At the back of the machine, there is a condensing plate with a water valve attached. If this valve is not letting water trickle down during the condensing process, no condensing can happen. The cold water valve should let a small amount of water flow down the condensing plate as the tumble dryer heats up. The moist warm air then condenses against the cold water and plate, and this water drains to the bottom of the machine, where it is pumped out.

If there is a problem with the water valve or airflow restriction, the machine might overheat and turn off. This is all I can suggest without replacing parts or seeing the machine in person.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
