Samsung RS267lash Over Freezes, blocks airflow, then fan freezes stuck
Customer Question
Wilson Bradley asks:
I have had problems with my Samsung RS267lash Fridge over freezing and causing inside middle vent hole and fan to eventually freeze to point of no airflow , then fan grinding eventually to a halt from being frozen. When I force the fridge into defrost mode, it does not seem to melt the ice either.*Theoretically, if I force it into Defrost mode, the heating elements should come on and should be able to test 110V Correct?Don’t think it’s a bad Defrost heating element , last time I checked this it showed 96 ohmsDefrost sensor (yellow) was +- 2K at Room temperature. Thermal fuse (Red black /w white foam) = 0 ohms Not sure what to do now.

I will try and help with this problem Samsung RS267lash Fridge Freezer
When the ice build-up is this bad you will need to turn the machine off and leave all the doors open for 24 hours for all the ice to melt, then you will be able to start the fridge freezer again and it will come down to temperature if ice builds up again over the course of the next month or so then you definitely have a problem with either the defrost timer or the defrost element or possibly one of the sensors. You will need to know the wattage of the element to workout what the resistance should be in ohms according to Ohm's law as this appliance is an American machine you will need to contact your Samsung agent to find out what the wattage of the element should be.
