Hi Ole, thanks for your question about cleaning the door seal of your Miele washing machine. No matter which model you have, the process is the same. First, remove the door seal. Once it's off, find a container slightly bigger than the seal.

I usually go to the local supermarket and buy 5-litre containers of bleach. It doesn't matter if it's gel bleach or regular bleach. Just immerse the seal in the bleach. The mould will die over time, depending on the concentration of the bleach. This usually takes about 24 hours.

Sometimes I take the seal out of the bleach, scrub it lightly with a brush, and then put it back in if there's still mould. It's a simple process. Thanks for your kind words about our video.

After cleaning, rinse the seal in fresh water to remove any leftover bleach. Then, refit it to your washing machine. I've also added a link at the top of the page for any spare parts you might need in the future. Good luck with your repair!
