Logik LCD8W23 Condenser Tumble Dryer Burning Smell

Hi Paul I have a Logik LCD8W23 Condenser Tumble Dryer and it is smoking and the filter is clean and the condenser heat exchanger is clean and there’s no fluff build up behind the heating element. I cleaned the back fan unit that blows the heat into the machine and it’s free of lint. Is there a issue with my product if it smell of burning if everything’s clean any ideas?

Good morning, Justin. I'm sorry to hear about your tumble dryer issues. It's unclear whether you're smelling an electrical burning or an overheating smell. First, check all the electrics for any signs of burning or burn marks on connectors. Also, inspect the electrical filter at the back right-hand side of the machine, where the power enters. These are common sources of burning smells.

Fluff on the element can also cause a burning smell. Since I can't see the machine, it's hard to diagnose the problem from an email. I've uploaded the workshop manual, wiring diagram, and an exploded view of the machine for you.

Another cause of an overheating smell could be a faulty thermostat, which might overheat the heater and damage clothing. Poor air circulation can also cause a burning smell. You mentioned cleaning the whole machine; have you checked the fan blades on the motor? There are two: one at the back to distribute hot air and another to pull cold air in for condensation.
