Logik L814WM16 Washing Machine E30 Error Code

Hi I have Logik L814WM16 Washing Machine. I first had a E60 which as you know is a motor problem I changed the carbon brushes switched the machine back on and it started it's cycle but during its cycle it made a grinding noise which was coming from the carbon brushes and then made a loud bang and tripped the electrics and then I fixed the E60 and now it's showing an E30 which again as you know is a door problem but when I close the door it clicks into lock I keep being told it's a heater element problem but e30 isn't a heater element issue is it? I need help please Thank You Steve

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear about the problem with your washing machine. The E30 error code usually relates to the door lock, but it doesn't always mean that's the issue. It's a good idea to check the heating element. This is easy to do with a multimeter for a continuity test. If you don't have a multimeter, you can buy a new one via our multimeter affiliate link.
It sounds like you might have fitted the carbon brushes incorrectly, which could cause sparking or trip the electricity. If the carbon brushes aren't aligned properly on the commutator, you could get a short circuit.
It's hard for me to diagnose the problem remotely since I can't see the machine and only have your description. Check the heating element and make sure the carbon brushes are aligned correctly. Also, check the wiring harness going to the door interlock for any burned contacts, as this is a common problem.
I don't have technical information on this model from the manufacturers, sorry. I hope the motor short hasn't damaged the printed circuit board. Do basic checks on all components to rule out issues.
