LG WM2650hwa Washing Machine dE error code, door lock failure
Door lock has been slowly dying and now it’s dead. We have three small children and we’d appreciate any help in fixing this

This sounds like the door lock has failed and therefore you will need to replace it I have put a link below to the door lock for your machine it is a straightforward job you will just need to peel back the door seal after removing the retention spring and then replace the door interlock.
