LG WM2250CW Washing machine dE error is showing on panel

Hi Kathleen,

The dE error code indicates that the washer door was unable to lock. This can normally be resolved by performing a simple reset on the washing machine or you may have a fault with the pin system or hinge but normally this will be a common problem with the door interlock.

We have a repair guide on this fault that you can check here, with video included. I'm putting here a short version of the guide and link to the video below.

Here is what to check and clear the dE error code:
1 – Press the POWER button to turn washer OFF.
2 – Remove the washer from power.
3 – Press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 to 10 seconds.
4 – Apply power to the washer.
5 – Turn the unit back on by pressing the POWER button.
6 – Open and Close the washer door, making sure the door has latched.
7 – Select a wash cycle and press START/PAUSE to test the washer.

If this does not clear the error then the door lock is faulty and need replacing. You can click on the door lock picture to order a replacement.
