Hi Julian,
Sorry to hear about the problem with your LG washer dryer. Unfortunately, I do not have any schematics for this machine as LG does not provide that information to the public or myself. However, I recommend watching the video below on how washer dryers work. It explains a common problem that people often overlook.
If there is no water going to the condensing unit at the back of the machine, it won't condense the water vapour in the air. There needs to be a temperature difference for condensation to happen. Also, you are right that if any fluff is blocking the airflow through the condensing box, heater, and front of the machine, it could cause problems. It's worth taking apart the heating unit to clean all the fluff off the fan blades and ensure the whole ducting system is clean.
