LG WD14071SD6 Washing Machine Leaking From Under The Washer

G'Day from Australia. Your videos are great.I removed the back of my LG WD14071SD6 washing machine and found a pen sticking through the rear gasket of the drum.I have watched several of your videos and never seen a drum with a rear gasket in any of them.In the linked YouTube Short I removed the pen but point out the hole where it was. Thank you for your question about your LG washing machine and for sending the video. It’s really helpful as it gives me a clear view of the fault. By the way, your garden looks lovely, and I'm quite envious of the nice weather!

I'm currently on my way to the IFA in Berlin, working from my camper van. I've managed to get a copy of the workshop manual from a colleague nearby. I've uploaded it to this page for you. Please go to page 58; it explains how to remove the seal. You don't need to remove the motor, but you will need to disconnect the wiring.

I'm not sure how a pen ended up in the drum, but I suspect children might have pushed it into the soap drawer. When it comes to ordering parts, I don’t ship to Australia, but I found some companies there that can help. Try lgspareparts.com.au, Appliance Parts Australia, or JNG Australia. They should be able to get you the door seal. Make sure you have your full model and serial number handy.
