LG FH4U2VCN2 Washing Machine Shows IE Error

Hi, brilliant YT videos, I'm a subscriber since watching the videos. I'm following the diagnostic mode testing for my LG FH4U2VCN2 washing machine but not sure how to start it on the FH4U2VCNW2.ABWQEUK model. Have tried different on, off combinations but it won't start. I've tested the solenoid valves and they each show resistance, so I'm thinking it may be the PCB not passing power through instead. Many thanks, Lee.

I will try and help with this problem about LG FH4U2VCN2 Washing Machine,

Good morning, Lee. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your LG washing machine not entering test mode. I've made a few videos that might help you with this problem. I've included the links below.

Let me quickly explain the IE error code. This error appears when the machine can't fill up with water in the given time. It could be due to a poor water supply reaching the water valves. Check that the tap and fill hose have water flowing all the way to the valve. You can test this by putting the hose into a bucket and opening the tap to ensure there's enough pressure.

Next, inspect the filter at the back of the water valve. Sometimes, debris can clog it and restrict water flow into the machine. If everything looks good, the problem might be with the water valves or something else.

You mentioned you've done an ohms reading on the water valves but didn't share the results. If there's continuity across the valves, they usually work fine. However, check if they are AC or DC valves as some are now DC.

There could also be an issue with power reaching the water valves. Inspect the wiring from the PCB around the top of the cabinet to the valves. Ensure none of the wires are damaged or worn out. You can do a continuity test at each end of the wire to double-check.

Another possible issue is that the pressure switch isn't giving correct information to the PCB, so it doesn't turn on the water valves. I don't have schematics for this machine right now because I'm away after attending the Berlin IFA trade show.

Lastly, there could be another component failure causing a missing neutral supply to the valves, or very rarely, sludge in the pressure bowl giving a false reading.

I'm sorry I can't provide more information until I'm back in the UK. I've included all related videos and a link for spare parts below. I'll be back in a week, so feel free to call us if you need further assistance.
