LG F4WV708P2E.ABWQWDG Washing Machine Water Leaking Out The Bottom
Customer Question
Joshua dye asks:
Hi hope you are well! Great videos on YouTube really helpful!I have taken my LG F4WV708P2E.ABWQWDG washing machine front panel off and I have identified some pipe work that is broken. In the door seal there is a little hole that leads to a tube there is a hard plastic bit encased in some tubing with two metal clamps holding it in place. The hard plastic bit has cracked and I was wondering how to repair it or what this part is called so I can replace it, it leads to something underneath the washing machine drum. I think it might be the water level sensor (guess work though) thanks

I will try and help with this problem about LG F4WV708P2E.ABWQWDG Washing Machine,
Hi Joshua,
Thanks for your question about your LG washing machine and for the kind words about my videos. This is a common problem I've seen many times. I've included a picture below to show the part we're discussing. It's a drain tube that takes excess water from the door seal and returns it to the bottom of the machine. This prevents mould from forming on the door seal due to stagnant water.
Here is the picture of the drain down tube for your machine
Replacing this part is straightforward. You can find it through the link above; just check pages 3 or 4 in the search results. It's not expensive and is easy to replace. If you need a temporary fix, you can block off the two holes and put the clamps back on whatever you use to block them. I've done this many times while waiting for parts.
I hope this helps you. If you need more assistance, feel free to contact us. I've also added some useful videos below, including one on YouTube about mould on door seals, which explains how mould builds up over time. It's always a good idea to leave your LG washing machine door slightly open after use to prevent mould.
Thanks again for reaching out. All the best,
