Hi Sunil,
Sorry to hear about the problem with your Indesit tumble dryer. You mentioned you have the I1D80W vented model and it's not heating at all. This might be a simple fix, and I'll guide you through it.
Although I don't have a workshop manual for this machine, I do have some helpful videos on repairs, which I've added below. First, check the thermostats on top of the heater. There are two: a cycling thermostat and a cut-out thermostat. If the machine has overheated, the cut-out thermostat might be open circuit. If you're lucky, there will be a reset button; if not, you'll need to replace it.
I've put a link at the top of the page for your tumble dryer, but note there are two similar models. Make sure you use the correct model number from your identification plate.
In the exploded diagram below, you'll see the heating unit you can check. There's also a detailed video on this. At the front of the machine, there are more thermostats you can access and test. Another exploded diagram shows a safety cut-out and an energy-save stat. Sometimes these diagrams are incorrect, so you might need to remove the front panel to check.
The timer could also be an issue, but it's unlikely to have worn out so soon. It's important to let the tumble dryer finish its cycle before opening the door. Cutting off airflow by turning off the machine when opening the door can cause safety thermostats to overheat and blow.
Also, make sure the ducting unit is clean. Check inside the door, remove the filter, and clean down to the bottom. From the rear of the machine, clear out the ducting tube. If you're using a vent pipe through the wall, ensure there are no restrictions.
I hope this information helps you repair your appliance. Remember, there's a link at the top of the page for ordering spare parts for both variations of your machine.
Good luck with your repair!
