Hotpoint Wmyl7151 washing machine All lights flashing and door unlocked, full of water
Can I unblock the pump and siphon tubes etc with the drum full of water? I believe the machine has to be tipped onto its side or back to gain access.

from the exploded diagram I am not able to tell if the waste hose comes out at the bottom of the chassis if it does you should be able to lay the hose on the floor and siphon the machine, if the hose comes out at the top then we have a little problem you will really need to try and get the filter out of the pump the drain the water into a tray or you may have to remove one of the hoses at the bottom of the machine in both these circumstances I suggest you disconnect the electricity supply to make sure you're not standing around in the water, if the machine will not empty it is normally a jammed pump all it could be a faulty pump and on some occasions, you may have an obstruction blocking the waste hose or sump hose,
