I will try and help with this problem with your Hotpoint WMUD 962 GUK Washing Machine,
There can really only be one of two faults,
- First, the door lock may be faulty or the wiring going to the door lock, you need to inspect this and test the door lock. I have included a video below to assist you on how door Locks work
- If this is not the problem then I suspect you have a problem with the printed circuit board. This is a much more costly affair and it is worth looking on eBay to see if you can pick up a second-hand board or sometimes you may find a complete machine with broken bearings at a very affordable price. The reason why I say this it's because the circuit boards need to be programmed by an engineer when they come to you new.
