I couldn't get any technical details on the Hotpoint washing machine because the full model number didn't match my list. There are six variations of this machine. I suspect it has a sealed drum, meaning you need to replace the whole drum to repair it. You can find second-hand drums, though.

If you have the full model number and identify the correct drum, check eBay or Facebook Marketplace. Sometimes you'll find a second-hand drum, and if you're lucky, you might find new stock from a service engineer's van sold cheaply. It's worth searching around.

The machine is good, but Hotpoint has made it hard to repair by welding the drum. Hopefully, now that Beko has acquired Hotpoint, things will improve. Beko is better at providing technical information and repairable machines. We'll see what happens in the future.
