Hotpoint TVFS83 Tumble Dryer Moisture Sensor Has Buckled Outwards

I would be very grateful for any guidance as to how to get at this sensor of my Hotpoint TVFS83 tumble dryer so I can remove or replace it in order to avoid replacing the machine. Hi Nick,

To access the moisture bars in this tumble dryer, you'll need to remove the front panel. This will give you access to part 257, as shown in the diagram below. I've also included a link at the top of the page for any parts you might need.

First, remove the lid. Then, take off the two side panels. This will allow you to remove the front of the machine. Be cautious, as the machine will become unstable when disassembled. The bars are located on the front panel and are listed as 257 in the diagram.

You might be able to reposition the bars without needing new parts. Sometimes, these bars can snag clothes and get damaged easily.
