Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Hotpoint Condenser Tumble Dryer, model number TCF-S93BGP. The water filter light usually comes on when water is detected in the pump area but hasn't been transferred to the collection box at the top of the machine. Even if you think the pump is working, it might have fluff inside, stopping it from moving water to the container.

I've added some videos below to help you diagnose the problem. There's a micro switch on the pump chamber that detects water levels. If this switch is activated, it will stop the machine because it thinks there's too much water in the collection chamber, which is a safety feature. You need to check that water is draining from this chamber to the collection tray at the top of the machine.

You can do this easily by pouring a little water in while the machine is running to see if it pumps to the top. I've made a few videos on our YouTube channel showing how to do this. Please follow these videos.
