I have hotpoint sial11010p dishwasher. Salt and rinse aid LEDs flashing. 3hr and 9 hr leds on constantly. Not sure what to do please help.Thank you.

Hi Mark,

Sorry for the late reply. There are usually three common problems with these dishwashers when they cause this type of fault.

First, the machine might not be filling within the allocated time due to part number 33 in the exploded diagram below. This part contains a flow meter, and if it doesn't measure the correct amount of water going into the machine, it may time out and cause an error.

Second, if there's a leak in the machine related to the float indication system (an anti-flood device), which is part number 20 in the diagram, it will activate and put the machine into a timeout automatically.

Lastly, though it might not be relevant to your specific fault, it's worth checking part number 29 in the diagram. This is the heating system. If the machine can't heat the water because one of the thermostats has gone open circuit or the element is faulty, it can also cause a timeout error.
