Hotpoint LTB4B019 Dishwasher Starts A Cycle Then Stops After 3-5 Mins

Hello Paul I hope you are well.Hotpoint LTB4B019 Dishwasher is an integrated one. It is about 7-8 years old.It has always worked very well until about 2 months ago. It has for a while not cleaned the things that well we just assumed the salt needed topping up which seemed to make things 50% better for a while.But of late the washer has turned itself off 3-4 times before it actually goes through and does a cycle.When it fails the green power light constantly flashes and the eco light (first button in from power button) and the short wash I think (third button in from power switch) are both illuminated constantly.This error code is apparently a motor fault that is how I found your video thinking that removing the motor and clean it may solve the fault?Thank you in advance for any help Kind regardsMatt Miller

Hi Matthew,
Hotpoint isn't great at providing technical details on these machines. If you've removed the motor, you should definitely check the heating system, as it's a common issue. You didn't mention whether the water is circulating through the spray arms or if it’s not getting hot.
If the water isn't pumping, it could be a motor fault. But if the dishes aren't being cleaned properly, the water might not be reaching the right temperature. You need to find out if the machine is heating the water properly.
There's a video below that shows how to check the heating system. You can find parts for your machine in the sidebar using your full model number, and sometimes the serial number is needed too.
