Hi Neal, sorry to hear about the issue with your dishwasher. I don't have the workshop manual for this Hotpoint model, so I can't be exact about the error. From your description, it sounds like the heating system might be the problem when it stops mid-cycle. This is quite common with these dishwashers.

You'll need a multimeter to check the heater and the thermostats attached to it. If any of these thermostats are open circuit when cold, this could be the issue. Unfortunately, they don't sell the thermostat separately; it comes with the entire heater unit.
