Hoover WDXC5851-80 Washer Dryer Drying Section Not Working

Hoover WDXC5851-80 Washer Dryer - washing machine is working fine. When drying programme starts the dryer fan comes on and the dryer heating element heats up, the drum rotates, water comes into the machine. After 1-2 mins the dryer fan stops. The machine still operaties but after another 1 - 2 mins the heating element trips because there is no airflow going over it. Do you have any idea what is causing this ? The heating duct is clean and clear of any fluff. Any information would be much appreciated.
