Good morning, Gerry. Thanks for your question about your Hoover tumble dryer, model number VHC681B. If the filter light remains on after changing the NTC sensor, here are a few things to check.

First, the machine has more than one NTC sensor according to the wiring diagram, so ensure you’ve checked them all. Also, there is a pressure switch at the bottom near the pump that detects water in the chamber. This could be causing issues.

Additionally, there might be a moisture sensor inside the drum. If this sensor gives a false reading, it could prevent the machine from turning off even if the clothes are dry.
