I've taken the top and door off. the belt is intact. I can see where the capacitor is located but I don't know how to get to it. My Hoover DMH D1013A2-80 heat pump tumble dryer doesn't have separate side panels, it's a solid case. I have tried taking the bottom panel off but couldn't. can you give me any pointers on how to access the capacitor, or what else the problem could be.thank you

Sorry about to hear your problem Rita. The entire front panel needs to be removed to access the capacitor. Some of the newer Hoover motors also have the capacitor built into the motor itself.

First, you need to remove the panel at the top, which will give you access to a couple of screws. Then, remove the plinth at the bottom to access a few more screws. Next, take out the screws inside the door, and the whole front panel will come away.

I haven’t done a specific video on Hoover heat pump tumble dryers, but I have covered vented and condenser dryers. I imagine they are still using the same chassis design as before.

I've also added wiring diagram, useful videos and exploded diagrams of your machine with reference numbers for further parts if needed. I hope this helps!
