Electrolux EDH97941W Tumble Dryer Shows E62 Error Code

I will try and help with this problem about Electrolux EDH97941W Tumble Dryer,

Hello Mr Hunstand,

I have contacted Electrolux about your model number EDH97941W. I found out that error code E62 is related to a compressor fault. If you check page 39 of the workshop manual, you will see that alarm code 62 concerns the heat pump compressor alarm.

The cycle has been stopped because it detected a fault in the compressor circuit. This could mean that the compressor is disconnected due to faulty wiring, or there may be an issue with the compressor itself.

I would check the cutout relay on the compressor and also the power supply going to it. This could be a fault with the circuit board, so inspect it closely for any dry joints or damage to the tracks. It is hard for me to diagnose the problem without seeing the machine. However, I have gathered this information for you. The workshop manual is very informative and includes a test procedure. You might be able to clear the error code stored in the memory system, which will let you start fresh when testing the machine.

There are wiring diagrams in the manual that show all connection points on the circuit board. Hopefully, it is something simple. Check Triacs and other devices on the circuit board that send power to the compressor. Take your time going through the workshop manual.

At the bottom of the page, there are exploded diagrams of every component in your machine. There is also a link at the top of the page for any spare parts you need. I am sorry I cannot be more helpful without having the machine in front of me, but I spent time this morning gathering all this information because I appreciate your generous donation.

I hope the compressor is not faulty because that would be expensive to repair. Not only is the compressor costly, but it also needs to be regassed by someone qualified with gassing equipment.
