Hello again and thanks for helping me last time! Hope everything is well with the team!I once again experience problems with my Electrolux EDH3386PJW tumble dryer. This time it is throwing error code E50. I have researched a bit and i think it means that the motor or motor-controller are showing problems.The machine does as follows:You start the machine. It runs for some time. The tumbler gets warm, so it seems the heatpump works like it should. After about 10 - 20 minutes the dryer stops and the E50-code is showing.I have taken off the top and side-panels, cleaned out all the lint accumulating inside the machine, and tried to have a look while its working.The machine almost finishes the program when the panels are off. Just a few minutes left on the display.I cant see that the cooling fan for the compressor is working. Is it possible that the motor is overheating since the fan is not running, and the thermal protection in the motor is cutting the power? And when the panels are off it takes longer for it to overheat?I measured the surface temperature of the motor to 50⁰C right before it shut off.Last time the culprit was the cooling fan for the compressor. But different error code. I will do some more tests on this, to see if it may be the problem this time too.Does this sound possible? Hi, thank you for your question about your Electrolux heat pump tumble dryer. The E50 error code indicates a motor issue, possibly due to overheating.

I've found the workshop manual, wiring diagram, and all the technical information you need for repairs. It's important to strip the machine down and clean it thoroughly inside. These dryers often have problems with fluff building up at the bottom, which can cause the motor and other parts to overheat.

Make sure to vacuum inside the machine and clear the entire condensing unit of fluff. This is a big job because you usually need to remove the drum to access the evaporator and condenser. But it's worth doing.
