Cookology CBID450 Dishwasher No Functions After Power On

hi, I have cookology CBID450 dishwasher and when powered I get a beep and all lights flash. After that, there is no function from any button and no display. Reportedly the unit became water damaged through a poor inlet connection which I have fixed. Could it be the controller or maybe just a pressure sensor. (Controller number is 17176000033271 but I cannot find any in this country). Thanks!

Hi Adrian,

I'm really sorry to hear about the problem with your dishwasher and the water damage. The issue is that Cookology is just a brand that buys these dishwashers from a company called Midea. The control number you gave me is actually a Midea part number.

Unfortunately, when manufacturers sell these machines in bulk to brands like Cookology, they don't support them properly under the Right to Repair Act. Any machine sold in the United Kingdom should have spare parts available for at least five years and provide technical information for repairs.

I'm travelling to Berlin and will be out of office for a few weeks. It's a very good point you've raised, and it's something I will discuss with Midea at the Berlin Trade Show. The general public should be able to get spare parts and have the right to repair an appliance with the necessary technical information when they invest money in that brand.
