I purchased this Comfee CDC17P0AWB dishwasher a year ago and it stopped working after 6 months. I've gone through all of the troubleshooting options from the manual and online, as well as reached out to Comfee's customer service, but nothing has worked. The following is from my communication with Comfee:I either get an E9 error, which is not listed in the manual, or the face flickers while not registering any button inputs.*Is the unit hardwired or connected with a plug? Connected with plug*Have you tried unplugging then plugging the unit back in? Yes, several times*Have you checked the water supply line? Does water flow? Yes*Did you ensure that the water valve is fully open? Yes*Are you using dishwashing detergent? I was, but I haven't even gotten to this point since it stopped working*What settings are you choosing? Normal*Did you check that the spray arm jets are not clogged? Yes, they are not cloggedI was eventually given a refund but now I have a piece of defunct machinery sitting around. I figured I'd give repairing it one last go before finding somewhere to dump it because I would really hate for this thing to just end up in a landfill. Even if all I can do is dispose of it, I would appreciate advice on how to do so as responsibly as possible. Thank you

After googling this model, it looks similar, so the workshop manual may be applicable.
The E9 error code likely indicates a communication problem between the operating buttons on the door and the main circuit board. This could be due to a software issue or a bad connection.
When disposing of appliances, recycling centres are the best option. If you don't have access to one, you can separate the plastic from the metal components to recycle them separately. This way, another machine doesn't end up in landfill.
