Candy Smart Inverter CS 1410TXME/1-S washing machine Main Control Board Damaged
Main Power/Conrol board was damaged by nesting insects. Originally dsplay still came on but no response from sensing controls. After board was replaced, now only the clock portion on the first digit (Hour) displays an "8" and then 8 moves to next digit and last then repeats. No other leds comes on beside the clock didgits. I'm assuming ribbon section was damaged on 1st board - ribbon itself from touch sensors do not look great either. Have you come across this? Supplier of board insists it was programmed. Can the display pcb also be damaged. Looks fine visually.Thanks,Richard

Hi Richard,
This one is tough to do remotely. If your digital display isn't working, it could be that the data cable from the main circuit board to the display board isn't functioning. Alternatively, the replacement board might not be sending data to the display.
I've found an exploded diagram of your machine and information on error codes and electronics. It's worth reviewing this, but I suspect you may have incompatible software on the board or possibly the wrong board.
Unfortunately, I can't diagnose this issue remotely based on your description. I suggest taking the machine to the board supplier if they're local or getting a Hoover Candy agent to check it with their software. This seems more like a software issue than a mechanical one.
