Hi PaulHope you can help. I contacted you a few months ago regarding the same dryer which is Candy GVCD91CB-80 Tumble Dryer and a fault with the heater. I replaced the heater with one bought online ( not from you) The issue now seems to be that it takes ages now to dry the clothes. I’ve done all the maintenance stuff like clean filters etc but still same. Is it possible the heater is not getting hot enough? How can I test this.Hope you can help.Thanks Paul

Hi Ian,
Thank you for your question about your Candy Condenser Tumble Dryer, model GVCD91CB-80. You mentioned that you have already bought a heating system, but the dryer is still not drying clothes.
First, check the air circuit to ensure there are no blockages. Clean the condensing unit thoroughly by flushing it in two directions, as there are both hot and cold airflows.
If the air circuit is clear, check if the dryer is pulling the correct amount of power. Plug in the machine and use a test meter or your smart meter to see if it is drawing the right wattage. The heating systems on these dryers usually draw around 2kW.
If the dryer isn't pulling this wattage, the heater might not be engaging. This could be due to a fault with the thermostat, a faulty element, or a relay issue on the circuit board.
