Can I Use Elitech STC 1000 For My Boat’s Undercounter Fridge?

Hi John,
This Elitech thermostat won't work for your needs. Let me explain. The Elitech STC1000 controls a relay that can open and shut, allowing you to use any voltage within the amperage limits. However, it still requires 240 volts AC to power the digital display, making it unsuitable for a boat.
I've lived on a boat for seven years, so I understand what you need. You should look for a 12-volt version of the digital display. I've included an Amazon affiliate link below to suitable thermostats for your boat. Ensure that the one you choose is controlled by 12 volts and has a switching relay at the right temperatures to turn the thermostat on and off.

The wiring will be similar to what I've shown in the video below for a domestic fridge, but you'll use a 12-volt DC circuit instead of 240 volts AC. I hope this helps!
