Bush BCGBTD8HP Heat Pump Tumble Dryer Not Heating

Hello, my son has a, just out of warranty, Bush BCGBTD8HP heat pump tumble dryer. Normally dryers have a thermal trip switch. But I have searched in/out of the machine and online and can find no information on this model. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You didn't explain the fault clearly. All you've said is that it's not heating. Heat pump tumble dryers don't have a reset button because they use refrigeration to condense warm moist air into water, which goes to the collection tray.

If a heat pump tumble dryer isn't working, it usually means either the compressor isn't running or the filters are blocked. The compressor creates heat and condenses the warm moist air into liquid. Maintenance on these machines is crucial. Blocked airflow can cause problems.

This machine is made by Vestel. You need to find out the full model number of your machine. There are many variations for the European market. I have a workshop manual and a wiring diagram for this machine. Use the workshop manual to diagnose the problem and ensure the condensing unit is clean, as this is essential for heating the air.
