Bosch SMV69M10EU/02 dishwasher E24 but drains all clear.

I'm getting an E24. Drain lines are all clear. Impeller free and seems to pump out. On starting a cycle the machine goes through its test cycles but fails with an E24. I can override this by opening and closing the door and recycling the on/off switch after the 2nd test cycle - when i do this the machine works normally. Any ideas? I'm losing too much hair trying to figure it out! Best wishes. Adrian

This occurs when the empty cycle cannot be completed in the allocated amount of time, this is normally due to blockages. You need to have a look at the impeller shaft as if there was any hair or debris, this will be restricting the time that the machine needs to empty, this error will then occur,
you can also try leaving the machine disconnected from the electricity for 24 hours to see if it clears the error code
