Bosch SMS69L02GB/07 dishwasher has no error codes & is not Heating

Customer Question

Hi Paul, just watched your excellent YouTube video on replacing a pump in a Bosch dishwasher to guide me stripping down ours. I wonder if you can help, our Bosch SMS69L02GB/07 dishwasher has no error codes and washes with cold water, empties OK but doesn't dry, it appears that there is no heat. Assuming it's the heating element part that has failed, I've found the correct circulation heat pump on your web site OK. So to be sure I've remove the circulation heat pump from the machine and put a meter on the connections, checking out the pins with the thicker cables that I assume are for the heating element, but I don't get an open circuit reading on the pins. Could the fault be caused by something else? The meter readings I get going from right to left ignoring the first green/yellow earth (pin 1) and checking across pins 2,3 & 4 are: Pins 2 - 3 10 ohms Pins 2 - 4 19 ohms Pins 3 - 4 10 ohms Thanks Chris

Hi Chris you will need to work out which pins are for the motor and which are for the heating side i have not got a video on this yet but i have put it on the list.

There are also thermostats that might be causing the problem, also check that the are no bad connections and that there are no chafed or broken wires also see if this has any ntc sensors apart from these you may have a bad pcb but without having the machine in front of me i cant be much more help.

To assist you with this with repair on your bosch dishwasher i have put videos below
