Hi, thanks for your question about your Bosch hob. The information you provided is quite limited, so it's a bit tricky to help. However, I'll give you a brief summary of what might be happening.

If a single gas ring isn't working, first hold the knob in while turning the gas and try to light it manually. This will show if gas is coming out of the jet. If it lights, then the gas jets aren't blocked. But if you release the knob after 20 seconds and the flame goes out, this usually means there's a problem with the FSD (flame safety device).

The issue could be with the electrode or thermocouple not being directly in the flame or having a bad contact between the cooker's chassis and the gas valve. Sometimes, the FSD itself might have failed. There's also a part within the gas valve that detects if the thermocouple is hot, which keeps gas flowing to the burner head when you let go of the knob. If it doesn't detect heat, it can't keep the gas flowing.

Other possible problems include a blocked gas jet on the burner or an ignition problem where gas comes through but there's no spark to light it.
