Bosch Classixx 1400 Express WFO2866GB/01 Model Trips the RCD on 90 Degree Wash Cycle
Hi Paul. Excellent videos - really helpful. Wondered if you have a theory on this. Machine fine on 40 or 60 deg wash - heats, spins, all good. But on 90 it trips the RCD with about 42 mins left to run on the program. Have already replaced the brushes, heater element and pump. any thoughts? Adrian.
I will try and help with this problem about Bosch Classixx 1400 Express WFO2866GB/01
Good afternoon Adrian, this does seem like a tricky issue. The problem might be steam getting onto an electrical item when the high heat setting is used, or it could be that the heater is causing the RCD on your electrical consumer board to trip. I suggest checking all the wiring in the machine and running a 90-degree wash with the lid off to see if there's any steam coming from unexpected areas. Keep in mind that it's a sealed unit so there should be no steam outside of the drum. it is also worth noting that I've had this type of problem before and it was coincidental that the motor carbon brushes were worn on the machine at the same time that I had an element that was going to earth, I had replaced the element on a similar Bosch washing machine but it started tripping straight away. I was hunting for ages and then just went through the basic checks and found that the carbon brushes had completely worn out and we're tracking to earth
It's possible that the circuit board is faulty if it's not the heating element, but usually, it's something simpler. It's a bit confusing that the electricity doesn't trip on the 60-degree wash, which is also quite hot. So, carefully check the wiring for any damp components, or it might be an issue with the circuit board
