Beko XTC611S Cooker Oven Fan Makes A Loud Noise

Hi Susan,

I’m sorry to hear about the problem with your Beko XTC611S freestanding cooker. You mentioned a loud noise from the fan, but you didn't specify which fan. There are two fans in these ovens: a cooling fan and a main oven fan. The main oven fan uses the fan oven element to heat the air and circulate it.

Often, the fan blades can become loose or damaged. Sometimes, the motor bearings might also be faulty. The workshop manual is very detailed, covering all components like hot plates, grill, top oven, and bottom oven. It’s over 85 pages long and should help you repair your appliance.

If you look at the exploded diagram below, you’ll see the main body of the Beko XTC611S cooker. The fan blade is reference number 950 and attaches to the motor (number 101) with a nut. Note that this nut tightens anti-clockwise. The noise might be the fan blade hitting the fan guard (number 97). If you need to replace the motor, you’ll have to remove both the fan guard and blade, then access the motor from the back of the cooker.
