Hi, I'm here to help you with your Beko washing machine, model number WMP652W. If you've encountered an E17 error code, it usually means the machine couldn't empty within the set time. Let's explore possible causes and solutions.

First, check for blockages in the waste pipe connected to your sink unit. Test the machine on a rinse cycle with the waste hose going into a bucket, so you can see if it's emptying properly. Next, inspect the sump hose, which connects the bottom of the drum to the pump. Small items can sometimes block this pipe, preventing water from emptying in time.

Another common issue is something wrapped around the pump impeller blade. Also, check if the filter is blocked, as this can restrict water flow. It's a good idea to test the pump and make sure it's working correctly and that the machine can empty within the set time.

You mentioned that the drum isn't moving. This could be coincidental. Check the carbon brushes in the motor at the bottom of the machine. Given your model's age (6-7 years), they may be worn. The drum might not turn on a spin cycle if water hasn't emptied in time.

The machine normally has about 1 minute to empty water before entering spin mode. If it fails to do so, an error may occur. Make sure to check both issues mentioned above and go through the whole machine. You can even bench test the motor using videos available online.
