I understand how frustrating it must be dealing with your Beko condenser tumble dryer. If they claim it should have an end-of-cycle alarm, it should be loud and clear, audible from at least 10 feet away. Brands like LG and Samsung have distinctive tunes that play at the end of the cycle, making it obvious it's an alarm.

From your description, it sounds like you might have been misled about the machine. The manufacturer might call it a buzzer, but if it's just a faint engineer noise, that's not acceptable. You should clearly hear the sound when the cycle finishes. Many other dryers, like old Electrolux, AEG, and Zanussi models, have very distinctive buzzers.

I suggest you ask for a demonstration in a store. Although AO is an online company, you could visit Currys or another shop. Ask a salesman to plug in the machine so you can hear the actual buzzer or jingle at the end of the cycle.

You have every right to ask for a replacement if you're not satisfied. This doesn't sound satisfactory at all. I’ve included the workshop manual and wiring diagrams for your machine. Maybe your machine is slightly defective.

You should compare it with another machine of the same model to see how distinctive the noise is supposed to be. If it's defective or you've been misled, you should be entitled to exchange it or get your money back.
