Hi Nigel, I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Beko DRVS73W tumble dryer. It should be quite simple to fix once you identify what's wrong.

First, you've changed the main capacitor filter, which is the suppressor in the top right-hand corner. You mentioned it had blown, possibly due to a bad voltage supply causing it to overheat. Ensure the machine isn't plugged into a twin socket with only a single 2.5mm cable, as this can only handle 16A. If you had a washing machine plugged into the same socket, it could be overloaded.

Now, let's tackle the heating problem. I have found the workshop manual, wiring diagram, and exploded diagrams for your machine. At the bottom of the page, there's also a list of spare parts available.

First, try turning the machine onto a timed sequence instead of an auto dry sequence. This will engage the element manually rather than using the humidity sensor in the drum. Sometimes these sensors get a film build-up and give false readings.

You mentioned replacing the heating element, but please check both sides of it again. There are usually three wires going to the element: one neutral and two live. Use a multimeter to test it.

Check other thermostats and NTC sensors around the machine using the exploded diagram. Make sure each one works correctly. If everything in the heating circuit is in perfect condition according to the workshop manual, you might have an issue with the high amperage relay on the circuit board, though this is rare.
