Thanks a lot for the detailed pictures and the video. Let's start with the circuit board. In the top left corner of one photo, you'll see a relay surrounded by some capacitors and a blue item, which I think is part of a filtering system. Next to that, there's a resistor that looks like it's blown. These resistors are replaceable and not too expensive, usually less than a couple of pounds. You'll need to use the colour identification scheme to determine the resistor size.

What worries me is the other side of the circuit board. Look at U4; there's a large chip on the left with multiple contacts. To its right, you'll see another chip with two or three legs, also marked U4 on the board. It looks like it might be bulging. The photo didn't capture it well, but it seems like it may have failed, making replacement trickier.

We have a few options. I understand the cost concerns about replacing the circuit board only for it to fail again. But I'd hate for this tumble dryer to end up in landfill over something as simple as a circuit board.

I've gathered the workshop manual, wiring diagram, exploded diagrams, and a full list of genuine part numbers for you. While we may not sell the circuit board and I'm currently in Germany so can't check my UK warehouse for second-hand ones, I can suggest some ways to find one.

First, use your model number (ignore the 'W' at the end of DCU7230W as it stands for white). Check eBay for second-hand machines with heating problems or other issues; you could salvage parts from these machines or vice versa.

Alternatively, use your model number or genuine part number to search on Amazon, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace, and eBay. Sometimes engineers sell old stock cheaply; you might find a circuit board for £20-£30 if you're lucky.

I spent some time putting this together for you while enjoying a leisurely Sunday afternoon by a canal in Germany with a few beers. I hope this helps and gives you inspiration to recycle this machine into a fully functional one again.
