I will try and help with this problem about Beko BBIMA13301XMP Oven,

Hi Claudia, it's good that you've identified the earth connection as the source of the problem, but it's crucial to address this issue properly for safety reasons. I've included exploded diagrams, common problems with electrical ovens, and related videos on electric issues with Beko BBIMA13301XMP ovens below that might help you.

When your oven works with the earth wire disconnected but trips the circuit breaker when connected, it indicates a potential earth fault. This usually means that some part of the oven is causing an electrical current to leak to the earth, which triggers the safety mechanism in your home's electrical system to prevent electric shock or fire.

There is a very good video below to show you all the problems that can occur when an oven is tripping the electricity supply.

Over time, heating elements can develop cracks or other damage that allows electricity to escape and touch the oven's casing. Checking and potentially replacing the heating element could resolve the issue.

Wires inside the oven might have deteriorated insulation, leading to direct contact with the oven’s metal parts. Inspecting the wiring for any visible damage or signs of wear and replacing any faulty wires could fix the problem.

Other components such as the thermostat, control board, or switches might also cause earth leakage if they’re damaged.

To resolve this safely, you should make sure the oven is disconnected from the mains power supply before inspecting it.

Then, look for obvious signs of damage to the heating element, wiring, and other components.

Operating the oven without an earth connection can expose you to the risk of electric shock, which can be fatal, and can also increase the risk of fire. It's crucial to address this problem correctly to ensure your safety and the proper functioning of your appliance.

I've included exploded diagrams and videos on how to check and remove the parts from Beko BBIMA13301XMP oven that might help you. All part numbers and exploded diagrams are listed below. Common Problems with Electrical Ovens

  • The oven will not turn on

The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is, turn it on to manual.

  • No Heat in Oven

If the fan is running and the thermostat light comes on but you get no heat (or just the thermostat light on in non-fan ovens and cookers) then the probability is that the fan element or oven elements have failed.

  • Electricity trips (Rcd) when I turn the oven on or grill

This is normally an element that has gone to earth, This is a well-known fault with electric ovens, the insulation breaks down in the elements and trips the RCD , best way is to stick a meter on each element and check that they have not got earth leaks on them. But this can also be a wiring fault.

  • The grill element doesn't work

This would usually indicate that the grill element is faulty. Check these: Grill element, Oven changeover switch, Overheat thermostat, Main oven thermostat, if used to regulate the grill temperature.

  • The oven fan is not working or spinning correctly (slow) or is noisy

The fan motor may need to be replaced see video on this also the cooling fan motor can cause same problems.

  • The oven overheats and burns everything

Normally this is a simple thermostat failure which would manifest itself as this symptom.

  • The oven or cooker cuts out after it's been on for a while

This is an overheating problem which can be caused by the fan motor or main oven thermostat or a faulty safety thermostat that will be causing the problem. It can also be caused by a failure of the cooling fan, where fitted, but usually these go noisy before failing, Safety thermostats are used to prevent the oven or cooker overheating and will shut the oven down.
