Beko BBIF22300B Oven Door Not Closing Properly & Has Clicking Sounds
Customer Question
Henry David asks:
Hi Paul hope you are having a great day,My Beko BBIF22300B built-in electric single oven is a pain in the ass. The oven door isn't closing properly. It tends to linger slightly open when I try to close it, allowing heat to escape and complicating the process of cooking food evenly. After inspecting them, the door seal and hinges seem to be in good condition.Additionally, I've noticed that the problem seems to worsen when the oven heats up. It feels like the door is slightly misaligned, and I have to press it firmly to get it as close to shut as possible, but it never fully seals. This has led to longer cooking times and unevenly cooked dishes.I've also observed that the door occasionally makes a clicking noise when I try to close it, and once or twice, it has popped open slightly on its own while the oven was in use. This problem started happening suddenly, and I'm not sure what could be causing it.Please help me get rid of this problem.

I will try and help with this problem about Beko BBIF22300B Oven,
Hi Henry, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your Beko BBIF22300B oven door.
Based on your description, there are a few potential causes for the door not closing properly, and I can provide some suggestions on how to address them. I've also included exploded diagrams, common problems with electrical ovens, and related videos on door faults with ovens below that might help you.
One common issue that can cause an oven door to remain open is misaligned or damaged hinges. Even though you've checked the hinges and they appear to be intact, it’s possible that they may have become slightly bent or worn over time, which might not be immediately visible. Heat can exacerbate this problem by causing the metal to expand, further affecting the alignment.
The clicking noise and occasional door opening may indicate a problem with the door latch or catch mechanism, potentially due to worn or misaligned latches.
To address these issues, I would suggest the following steps:
Firstly, closely inspect the hinges for any signs of wear or slight bends. Even if they look fine at first glance, a small misalignment can cause significant problems. If you notice any damage, replacing the hinges might be necessary.
Secondly, Take a close look at the chassis of the cooker, especially where the hinge latches into it. Sometimes, the chassis can bend because people place pots or trays on the open oven door. The steel isn't as strong as it used to be, so heavy weights on the door can cause bending. Make sure to visually inspect where the hinges latch onto the chassis door plate.

I've included a workshop manual and video on door faults with ovens that might help you. All part numbers and exploded diagrams are listed below. If you need more help, feel free to contact me. I've also added some useful videos about this error and other faults that can occur on Beko ovens.
In the video, I mentioned about 5 common problems.;
- Oven will not heat because the element is faulty.
- Oven won't heat because timer on manual.
- Oven won't heat because of a fault with thermostat or selector switch.
- Oven not cooking evenly (one element faulty or fan not working correctly).
- Oven not reaching temperature normally an element but possible fan motor.
Coomon Problems with Electrical Ovens
- The oven will not turn on
The first thing you need to check is that the oven timer is not on auto if it is, turn it on to manual.
- No Heat in Oven
If the fan is running and the thermostat light comes on but you get no heat (or just the thermostat light on in non-fan ovens and cookers) then the probability is that the fan element or oven elements have failed.
- Electricity trips (Rcd) when I turn the oven on or grill
This is normally an element that has gone to earth, This is a well-known fault with electric ovens, the insulation breaks down in the elements and trips the RCD , best way is to stick a meter on each element and check that they have not got earth leaks on them. But this can also be a wiring fault.
- The grill element doesn't work
This would usually indicate that the grill element is faulty. Check these: Grill element, Oven changeover switch, Overheat thermostat, Main oven thermostat, if used to regulate the grill temperature.
- The oven fan is not working or spinning correctly (slow) or is noisy
The fan motor may need to be replaced see video on this also the cooling fan motor can cause same problems.
- The oven overheats and burns everything
Normally this is a simple thermostat failure which would manifest itself as this symptom.
- The oven or cooker cuts out after it's been on for a while
This is an overheating problem which can be caused by the fan motor or main oven thermostat or a faulty safety thermostat that will be causing the problem. It can also be caused by a failure of the cooling fan, where fitted, but usually these go noisy before failing, Safety thermostats are used to prevent the oven or cooker overheating and will shut the oven down.
