Hi Morag sorry to hear your problem about Beko B3T49241DW heat pump tumble dryer. A heat pump tumble dryer does not have a reset button. Instead, it uses a compressor to generate heat on the condensing side while cooling the air as it passes through the filter into the evaporator.

If your compressor is not running, this would be the reason your clothes are not drying. If the dryer is not heating, it is definitely due to the compressor not running. This can be caused by various issues, which I covered in a recent video.

You can check whether the compressor is running using an amperage meter, which is inexpensive—available for as little as £10. When the heat pump tumble dryer is plugged into the meter, you should initially see a power draw of around 200 watts when the motor is turning. After a couple of minutes, when the compressor should kick in, the wattage should increase to around 400–500 watts.
