Your washing machine is not emptying. The E18 error means it's unable to empty in the set time. First, turn it to the rinse cycle. Make sure it fills with water, tumbles the clothes, and then tries to empty. If water stays in the drum, you might have a blockage, a power supply issue to the pump, or a failed pump. Sometimes small items or elastic bands can get stuck around the impeller or damage it.

You didn't mention if the machine actually emptied the water. You only mentioned the E18 error code. I need to know if the machine has emptied the water. Let's cover both scenarios quickly:

1. If the machine is empty but E18 is still showing, this might be stored in the memory on the circuit board. You'll need to find out how to clear error codes for your model.
2. If the machine is still full of water and E18 is showing, you likely have one of the problems suggested earlier.

First, ensure all pipes are clean and free from blockages. Check and clean the sump hose and pump filter for any debris. It's also a good idea to put the waste hose into a bucket to see if any water comes out.

If the machine isn't emptying, there may be a problem with the motor. Sometimes the impeller gets damaged or detached from the armature shaft, so inspect it carefully.
